Elissa Lin Rathe has been practicing in the mental health profession for over 31 years. She has a private practice as a psychotherapist in mid-town Manhattan, and one in Yonkers, NY. Elissa was a full-time faculty at Nyack College’s Alliance Graduate School of Counseling for nine years. In 2012, she scaled back to adjunct teaching in order to better focus her time and energy on her ten spiritual daughters. She is the proud “grandma” of her spiritual daughters’ biological children, and enjoys her play dates with her grandkids. She has been married 26½ years to Alan Rathe – her soulmate since 1980.

Ching-Ching Ruan is a full-time professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Alliance Graduate School of Counseling at Nyack College. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor by American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to teaching and supervising to marriage and family therapist trainees at Nyack College, Ching-Ching is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Connecticut and New York and has a small private practice located in Stamford, Connecticut.

Ching-Ching has a heart for couples and family ministry. She is passionate about helping couples become stronger and more intimate as a couple as well as being more empowered and fulfilled as a parent. Ching-Ching is married for almost 12 years and has two young children. Playground and a local nature center are her favorite places where she hangs out with her two precious girls.
