Today’s teens spend more time using technology and social media then ever before. This presentation will provide an overview of the various technologies and social media resources that are used by teens in today’s technological world. Please come to learn and discuss how teens today use technology, what some of the benefits and harms of social media are, and find out a few things that parents can do to promote good internet habits for our teens.
Dr. Chris Herrmann is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law & Police Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. He is a former Crime Analyst Supervisor at the New York City Police Department, where he studied longitudinal trends of violent crime and developed crime control and prevention initiatives. He loves to learn, play, and conduct research using different technologies.
